Often times having a true heart of caring involves laying down your own preferences in favor of caring for someone else’s needs. For Jimmy Harris, med tech at Orchard Park, this selfless nature is exactly what earned him a nomination for this year’s Heart of Caring award.
“Jimmy walks in every single day with a smile, no matter what is going on in his personal life. He always greets both the residents and employees with a warm help and a BIG hug. If any of the residents have a problem with anything, he’s going to be right there with them every step of the way.”

Jimmy continuously goes above and beyond the call of duty to befriend and care for the residents and team members he spends his days with at Orchard Park. His heart of caring fuels his desire to treat each and every individual with the same amount of care and respect.
“Jimmy is more than just a med tech. He’s a loving friend and an amazing caregiver to each and every resident. He consistently has a great attitude about everything and doesn’t show any negative attitudes toward anyone.”
