Director of Dining Services

Follow Company Dining Policy and Procedures and while ensuring that all department personnel are compliant as well.  Responsible for the purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items and ensure all purchases for the department achieve 95% DSSI ordering compliance.  Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies. Utilize company standard recipes when completing food production for meals. Ensure that food is served at proper temperature and in proper portion sizes to ensure food safety and palatability according to our food temperature policy.   Ensure that residents’ Prescribed Diets are offered when applicable. Drive high satisfaction by offering our residents choice, dignity and independence in dining according to our hospitality and customer service policy.  Ensure operating and cleaning instructions/procedures are developed and implemented for the department.  Perform Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review daily menu details. Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health departments regulations and acts as the community’s dietary representative for any health department or other required inspections; assure compliance, follow-up to assure any deficiencies are immediately corrected. Ensure all dining areas are clean and safely operating, completes monthly Self Sanitation audit according to the sanitation audit tool and operation and sanitation policies.   Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate all dining staff personnel as needed. Oversee the scheduling of all food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget.

Director of Memory Care – $5,000 Sign On Bonus!

Conduct interviews, orientation, and ongoing training of Memory Care Team employees in accordance with employee training policy and regulatory guidelines.  Coach and counsel departmental employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle human resources policies.  Manage Memory Care employees in partnership with the Health and Wellness director or designee.  Promote the company’s Embrace philosophy in all aspects of his/her role to include interactions with resident, family, and staff and the daily oversight of Memory Care operations in partnership with the Health and Wellness Director. Organize the monthly programming calendar and needed supplies.  Plan, coordinate, and evaluate Memory Care resident programs. Lead high quality innovative programs in Memory Care to include a minimum of 3-5 self-lead programs daily. Implement and monitor programs and processes to promote excellence in programming while maintaining a high level of resident/family/staff satisfaction in a fiscally responsible manner. Adhere to the budget guidelines for the department. Maintain current knowledge of Alzheimer’s/dementia topics and participates Memory Care Department Director training as assigned. Provide education, training, and hands on support to community staff.

Community Relations Director

Pay Rate: $80,000 – $85,000/year Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective resident of independent and assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Respond and follow-up with to all walk-ins, phone ins, mail-ins timely and appropriately. Create, plan and implement with Sales and Marketing Team and Program Director events to bring in prospective residents, current leads and professionals such as, but not limited to: seminars, speakers, themed events, and family nights. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with residents, families, and professional providers of care.    Maintain a working knowledge of all software programs. Participate in weekend call coverage in Manager Rotation unless they have a standing schedule that already encompasses one or more weekend day.  Secure the required number of budgeted move ins and achieve net gains each month Treat each inquiry with value. Work closely with the Executive Director and Regional Director of Operations, and Divisional Director of Sales and Marketing in development and implementation of the quarterly marketing plan. Create and implement a strong community outreach program that generate the necessary number of referrals to reach sales goals. Complete quarterly media planning with current vendor on a timely basis.  Keep Executive Director informed of all sales activity daily. Maintain Senior Lifestyle Hot Board/Move in Move out board. Communicate any special needs of the incoming resident to the appropriate personnel. Manage use of sales toolbox. Assure every alternative is considered before closing a lead.  Keep informed of all trends, developments, concepts and techniques in his/her field that affect product. Understand the need of the senior and the aging process. Maintain and work an active, meaningful waitlist.  Visit competitors quarterly. Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information. Comply with all Senior Lifestyle Policies, cities, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Residents’ accounts as it relates to Medicare, third party billing, etc. Interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, residents, family members, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Maintenance Coordinator

Complete work orders around the community. Perform work and repairs needed to ready apartments prior to move-in’s. Order and organize maintenance supplies as needed.  Complete general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal, and landscaping. Respond promptly to emergencies and after hours calls. Maintain knowledge of all property emergency, safety, and disaster plans/procedures. Maintain office, shop, and storage and ensure that mechanical areas of the community are in accordance with SLC policies. Drive residents to stores or on special trips as needed. 

Concierge Sat-Sun 11pm-7am Part time

Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families. Answer telephone calls. You may be asked to ensure the safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity. Process reports for such things as work orders, incidents and concerns. You will receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver or hold as requested.  Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys, and gate passes. You will assist other departments with administrative functions. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Server Part Time/Senior Living 4pm-7:30pm

Accept food order, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents and/or guests in a timely manner. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Actively buss and reset tables as well as complete assigned side work. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Resident Program Assistant

Assist in planning and coordinating all resident activities.  Encourage residents to participate in programs and activities and provide transportation to them as needed. Lead various activities as directed by the Resident Programs Director. Order and maintain supplies for activities as needed.

Community Relations Counselor

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Assisted Living

We are hosting OPEN Interviews Monday – Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 9am-12pm Location:  800 N Harlem Avenue in River Forest, IL  No Appointment Required Take and record vital signs. Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Transfer, position, and turn residents. Provide skin care to residents. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care. Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality.
