Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Safely and efficiently operate dish washing machine according to procedure manual. Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing. Remove from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken. Stock delivered food and non-food items. Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes. Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.     Attend all training and in-service seminars. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN and/or the Assisted Living Director. Report any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director. Respond quickly to all emergencies. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.

Transport residents and perform community errands as assigned.  Ensure that all residents who use the transportation are returned safely to the building. Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle as needed.  Maintain cleanliness of vehicle by performing and/or scheduling regular interior/exterior cleaning. Report mechanical needs and repairs and assist in coordination to have repairs completed.

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

General cleaning of resident apartments, hallways and other common areas. Assist in preparing empty apartments for resident move-ins. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  You may be asked to help respond to resident emergencies.
