Lillie Patterson and Virginia Wood were honored at a celebration Friday as they received their awards from Congressman Daniel Lipinski and Alderman Marty Quinn.
The celebration was held at Autumn Green at Midway Village, where members of the community gathered to honor Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Wood, among others.
The 2014 Golden Spirit Awards are given in appreciation for recipients’ dedication, service, and commitment to maintaining the quality of life in their community.
