Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Memory Care to join our team in Snellville, United States. As a CNA in our Memory Care unit, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents with dementia and other memory-related conditions.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meals
• Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output
• Recognize and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors
• Provide emotional support and engage residents in memory-enhancing activities
• Assist with medication reminders as directed by licensed nursing staff
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to care plans
• Implement fall prevention strategies and assist with safe transfers and positioning
• Promote residents' rights, dignity, and independence
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Participate in ongoing training and education related to memory care best practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license as required by the state of Georgia
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical/nursing settings, preferably in memory care or geriatrics
• Specialized training or experience in dementia care is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of memory care principles and person-centered care approaches
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation
• Physical stamina to assist with resident transfers, positioning, and other care activities
• Emotional resilience and patience in working with memory care residents
• Dedication to maintaining resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
• Ability to multitask effectively while ensuring resident safety and quality of care
• Empathetic and compassionate approach to resident care
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in memory care practices
