Join our team as a part-time Server in our Independent Living community located in Norfolk, United States. We're looking for a friendly and supportive individual to provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

• Greet and serve residents in a warm, welcoming manner
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Deliver meals and drinks to residents' tables or rooms as needed
• Ensure proper food presentation and quality before serving
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and adhere to sanitation standards
• Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for meals and special events
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
• Respond promptly to residents' requests and concerns
• Assist residents with menu selections and provide information about daily specials
• Monitor residents' dining preferences and report any changes to supervisory staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food handler's certification (may be required)
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanor
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills
• Strong time management abilities and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays and dishes
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets preferred
• Understanding of senior care needs and sensitivity to older adults' unique requirements preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
