Refreshed, Renovated, and Revived

North Shore Place recently underwent a $13 million expansion project that included 44 memory care apartments and 32 assisted living apartments, bringing the community to a total of 192 apartments.  Senior Lifestyle President and CEO, Jon Deluca, stated how “The new construction is a significant investment in North Shore Place  It demonstrates our commitment to the Northbrook community, as we continue to grow and adapt to meet the needs of local older adults.” Our leadership and community team members are excited to share our updated community with both current and new residents. We invite local seniors to stop by and visit!

Our Elevated Atmosphere

Our residents love spending time in our busy community, then retreating back into their well-appointed apartment homes for a little relaxation. Many of our apartment layouts come with full kitchens and stainless steel appliances as well as upscale finishes, helping our residents feel truly at home from the first day.

Residents can try a new skill in the art center, play a friendly game of poker in the card room, or check out what is playing in our community theater. We also have a dedicated rehabilitation room, residents’ storage, and a balcony with a lovely view of our property.

North Shore Place is proud to be a pet-friendly community serving Northbrook seniors. We understand how important pets are to the seniors that call our community home, and we couldn’t imagine our community without their positive presence.

It’s always a special occasion in our elegant dining room where we serve delicious meals made only with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our residents enjoy a restaurant-style setting with our hospitality team members waiting to help at any time. Our menus are full of upscale options, home-cooked favorites, and special additions made just for residents with specific dietary needs. Whether it’s low-sodium, sugar-free, or an allergy, we ensure there is always a perfect dish for every resident.

For more casual eats, our residents head to the bistro. A favorite stop for light lunches and drinks with friends, our residents enjoy having alternative menu options in our community. We can also deliver room service to our residents’ apartment homes if they prefer to enjoy their meals privately.

We do more to ensure that our residents have all the services they need to live life to the fullest. When we aren’t able to provide a service, we either offer accessible transportation for our residents or bring in specialists to give them the care they need!

Physicians and Therapies

We have regular visits from physicians to ensure our residents are living well in our community. Medics can make house calls and do wellness checks, while podiatrists stop by to check our residents’ feet. We have spaces for speech, physical, and occupational therapy, too, making it simple for residents to stick to their prescribed regimen.
