James Barcroft
Transportation Driver, The Village at the Woodlands Waterway
There’s a saying that “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” and our feature for today may just prove that statement true. The Village at the Woodlands Waterway’s heart of caring nominee was first recognized for his heart of caring when his team mates had to do without his help.
“The time I realized the impact [James] had on me and the rest of the team was the first time he was not here. He has influenced and driven with his heart. He really cares for the residents and comes to the Village at the Woodlands everyday to serve them.”
James’ commitment to best-in-class care shows in all he does, leaving his nominator unable to choose just one core value to focus in on.
“I can honestly say that James shows all five Senior Lifestyle Core Values: Caring, Honesty, Appreciation, Respect, and Teamwork. He is always there to help in any way that he ca, he is reliable, a true gentleman, and joyful all the time!”
James’ heart of caring compels him to go above and beyond to care for residents and coworkers alike, rearranging his schedule to accommodate resident needs and maintaining a positive attitude regardless of the situation.
“I think what I admire most about James is that he is extremely kind and not a gossip. You will never hear him speaking ill of a co-worker and there is just a true heart of service and compassion that he carries everyday!”
